My son, Michael J named these cookies the Happy Chocolate Chip Cookies
because he says that’s the way they make him feel
2-1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
3/4 cup organic shortening
1/4 slightly softened butter
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 tsp vanilla
2 cup Ghiradelli Milk Chocolate Chips
1 cup Ghiradelli 60% Bittersweet Chocolate
Cream together shortening, butter and sugars.
Add eggs & vanilla, mix well.
Sift flour, baking soda & salt and gradually add to cream mixture.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop by rounded teaspoons onto a cookie sheet.
Bake at 375° for 10-12 minutes.
